Give yourself a hug when you feel unloved
Give yourself a hug when people put on airs to make you feel a bug
Give yourself a hug when everyone seems to give you a cold shoulder shrug

Give yourself a hug – a BIG BIG hug

And keep on singing ‘ONLY ONE IN A MILLION LIKE ME,
ONLY ONE IN A MILLION-BILLION-TRILLION-ZILLION LIKE ME!'

Happy the woman, and happy she alone
She who can call today her own
She who's secure within can say
Tomorrow do thy worst, for I have lived today

Is it too much to ask? - by two women living in a refuge

A man can come and go and walk out of the door
If a woman sleeps around she's classed as a whore
A man is known to be a stud
A woman is treated like mud
If a woman leaves her child, she's an unfit mother
If a man leaves his child, nobody bother

Society made it this way
We want to see a change a today
Now we have equal rights
But men won't accept it out of spite
When a man beats his wife, he gets away
All the woman can do is run away
The law should lock these men away
Instead these women have to pay
If the law is to take the decision
Put the men and not the women in prison!

No responsibilities and no ties
These men get away with wicked lies
The law is hard on police violence
When is comes to women they turn off their sirens
A woman has to be in her gave before action is taken
If they think they know their law, they're very well mistaken!

Hear no Violence

You don't have to touch me to hurt me.

I can hear it!
I can sense it!
I can see it!
I can feel it!

It's living with it that is damaging me.
During the day or late at night
I wait in fear of another fight.

No one knows what I'm going through
So I'll send a message that's clear to you
You need to stop the violence
Don't leave the child to suffer in silence
