A wide variety of training programmes will be provided to begin and support the changes required to carry out this Policy. These will include professional development training for relevant staff, regular equal opportunities training programmes to keep elected members and staff aware of current issues and developments, and attention to ensure that equal opportunity dimensions are properly highlighted as part of other training programmes.
Liverpool Women's Aid will promote its work on equality of opportunity in its relations with outside organisations, contractors and suppliers
In this way Liverpool Women's Aid will demonstrate that the greatest impact on eradicating discrimination, and the creation of real equality of opportunity for all will be made through the determination and actions of Central and Local Government, other public and private sector agencies together with Liverpool Women's Aid and other Voluntary Organisations.
The Equal Opportunity Policy will be annually monitored and evaluated to ensure that it is kept up to date. Key information on important aspects of employment and service delivery will be collated and analysed to obtain a detailed understanding of how policies and practices are working towards creating equality of opportunity. Action will be taken to deal with any particular obstacles or difficulties that are identified.
