Liverpool Women and Childrens Aid Centre offers respite and safe, secure accommodation for women and children fleeing domestic violence or abuse.
The centre offers practical and emotional support to enable the women to make their own life choices.

Facts & Figures
1 in 4 women experience domestic violence over their lifetimes and between 6-10% of women suffer domestic violence in a given year (Council of Europe, 2002).
The 2001/02 British Crime Survey (BCS) found that there were an estimated 635,000 incidents of domestic violence in England and Wales, 81% of the victims were women.

The Centre provides a physical space where women and children who have experienced Domestic Abuse can feel safe and free from violence as either resident or visitor.
The Centre offers 24-hour staffing/helpline. Each resident is allocated their own caseworker, who works closely empowering, advising and supporting the family throughout their stay at the Refuge
